Buying used dishwashers & glasswashers
A commercial dishwasher or glasswasher cleans a rack in minutes, not hours. Used machines from Winterhalter, Hobart, Classeq and Meiko are built to be serviced and run for many years.
We stock under-counter dishwashers and glasswashers, pass-through (hood type) dishwashers and pot washers.
What to check
- Under-counter models suit cafés and bars. Pass-through hood machines suit busy restaurants and handle far more racks per hour.
- Check the water connections, the drain and whether a drain pump is fitted (needed if your drain is higher than the machine).
- Hard water is the biggest cause of problems. A built-in or separate water softener is well worth it in the South East.
- Ask about the wash and rinse arms, the elements and whether it reaches rinse temperature.
- Pass-through machines often need a 3-phase supply.
Common questions
- Do I need a water softener?
- In hard water areas like Sussex, Kent and London, yes. Scale damages elements and pumps and leaves glasses cloudy. Many machines have one built in.
